At Nellie Botanicals, our vision is to create a world where beauty is not a luxury, but a basic need. We strive to make our handcrafted sugar scrubs, body butters, lip balms, and soaps accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget or location. Our goal is to empower our customers to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
I am Sheila Payne, a veteran and founder of Nellie Botanicals. In 2013, I was involved in a rear-end collision and I then set out to avoid pain medications, other medicines prescribed by the military, and chemically laden skincare products because I wanted to use what God created for my healing, wholeness, and wellness. I bought commercially made organic products, to include essential oils with the intent to eventually create my own beauty products. I continued on that path for a decade.
Then, in 2023 while visiting a friend who created and sold beauty products, she encouraged me to do the same. I resisted at first because I tried selling essential oils and candles in the past and was disappointed with the results. When I came back home, I set out to bless my friends and family with the skincare products that I created. Over the following months, God started speaking to me about the way forward and here we are today making handcrafted body butters, sugar scrubs, and more.
